Dispensing fuel

HyDip Fuel Tracking devices make it easy to set up, monitor and manage the dispensing of one or more Products from a Site.

HFT X2 devices are all-in-one devices with built in solenoid, flow meter and relay outputs. By comparison to HFT X2, HFT2 devices are control units intended to be fitted with external HyDip PinPads and third party dispensing equipment such as COMPAC, Gilbarco and Wayne.

Pre-requisites

This step assumes:

  • A Site has been created according to the instructions here
  • A Tank has been configured for the Site (see Setting up a Tank )

And that the Site contains at least one HFT X2 or HFT2 device.

Setting up a Hose

A Hose connects a HyDip Fuel Tracking device to a Tank at a Site. Flow meters, temperature correction factors and solenoid configuration are all associated with a Hose.

To enable dispensing at an HFT2-enabled Site with an existing Tank, you need to set up connect at least one Hose to a Tank on the Site. This is normally a direct reflection of which Hose is physically plumbed to which Tank at the Site.

From the Main Menu, open Networks > Sites and pick the target Site from the list. Select the "Tanks" tab and open the Tank to which the Hose should be attached. In the Hoses section, click 'Add hose'.

Choose a HyDip device that will manage the Hose. Set the name for the Hose, make sure to Enable it by checking the Enable box. HFT2 devices will also require a PinPad address.

The Product in a Tank can now be dispensed.

The example setup will now be as follows:
