Keypad
Typing numbers
You may need to type numbers for the PIN to access some parts of the menu, or to change settings such as the APN.
When entering a number, use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows on the keypad to move the cursor backwards and forwards to change a digit.
Generally, pressing ‘ENTER’ after you type in data will tell the controller to accept it.
If a field accepts only numbers (e.g. for a PIN), just press the number intended. The cursor will move automatically each time a number is pressed.
Where a field also accepts text, press the key labeled with the number repeatedly until the number appears. For example, to enter the number ‘4’ in a text field, press JKL4 until the number four appears.
If a negative value is required, move the cursor to the beginning of the editing field and press the v arrow; a minus sign will appear. If you hit the ^ arrow key the minus sign will disappear.
Typing letters
To enter an alphanumeric value use the < and > keys to change the cursor position.
To enter a character in a text field, press the key labelled with the character repeatedly until the letter or number appears. The character will cycle through upper case, then lower case, then show numbers. This goes around in a loop so that if a key is pressed continually, the sequence will repeat.
To enter a space, press the YZ_ key until a space appears.
To enter a special character (e.g. a full stop “.”), press the “.-@” key until the intended character appears.
To confirm the value press ENTER.
