Sitting the HyDip

The HyDip device should be mounted:

  • Inside a weather resistant (e.g. IP65) enclosure to suit installation with access for power and signal cables using water proof glands.
  • Where access can be gained to the sides of the device to connect/disconnect peripherals (e.g. sensors, power) as required.
  • With some thought about connecting to antennas and solar panel (if required) in optimal signal reception and sunlight.
  • Away from direct sunlight, sources of heat, naked flames and sources of excessive vibration (e.g. generator). Battery installations should allow adequate ventilation.

📘

Notes:

  • This example cabinet is not IP rated.
  • The battery is often enclosed in the electrical cabinet with the HyDip device.
  • You may require a taller pole to ensure that the solar panel, aerials etc are not obscured.

If appropriate the IP rated enclosure, antennas etc. may be mounted on the tank. An actual installation is shown below.
